A selection of Liberty of London tana lawns in pinks and greens were selected for all of the pieced elements in this Summer Party starter bunting. A fantastically lightweight (but strong) fabric, tana lawn is the ideal piecing fabric as it creates crisp edges and keeps bulk in the seams and corners to a minimum. The remainder of each bunting flag is constructed with antique french linen.
On check-out, you have the option to purchase the bunting instructions (including paper pieces) alone, and use feature fabrics and a lining fabric from your own stash, or to add on either or both of the following:
A curated bundle of 16 squares of Liberty tana lawn in pinks and greens. NB. The sample bunting was constructed from personal fabric supplies and not all of these fabrics are currently available to replicate into the fabric packs. Please refer to the fabric compilation photo to see the 16 Liberty Tana lawns currently offered in the starter pack add-on.
A piece of antique french linen large enough for your bunting backs, as well as a mounting base for your star flags
Can I stitch this?
This is a reasonably manageable project, using core sewing skills. YouTube is always a great resource for demonstrations if you are unsure how to complete a certain technique.
